BCSA Registered Members!

For nearly 3-months, BCSA Board has been working tirelessly towards the Standards for Quality Soccer (SQS) Certification through Canada Soccer Association (CSA).  The SQS submission requirements consisted of 43-elements spanning the categories of "Organization", "Accessibility and Inclusion", "Safety", "Technical", and "Governance".  To be able to meet these elements, BCSA was required to develop specific policies, governances, and guidelines to record how BCSA as a soccer body is going to function in providing a safe sport for youth developmental soccer, as provided in the various pages of the BCSA website.

As of the afternoon on the 20th of February 2024, CSA has reported that we have meet all 43 required SQS elements with a 100% score result, requiring no additional details and/ or corrections by BCSA for a secondary review.  All Registered Members that are communities in good standing with BCSA are now covered by the SQS Certification.

Although this is amazing news, we still are not done with our internal workings to work with the Registered Members on implementing the SQS requirements into their soccer operations.  The BCSA Board will be organizing introduction sessions where we will be meeting with each Registered Member to review the general SQS requirements and how we can move towards implementation, monitoring, and improvement to the BCSA requirements.  We look forward to meeting with your teams.
